This summer it has been exactly one year since the day I met the love of my life. I was very excited when I found out Anastasia will be able to come to Seattle for our one-year anniversary. The first few pictures depict one of my gifts for her. As you can see it is a lock on which I wrote both of our names. Don’t be fooled though, it’s not just a simple lock – it’s a symbolic one. After I securely attached it to the Alki Bridge, I told Anastasia that the lock represents our love for each other. I also took out two keys from my pocket and gave her one of them. I threw my key as far as I could over the bridge and into the ocean. I told her that if she wishes to be with me forever than she has to throw her key into the ocean as well. That way the lock can stay attached to the bridge and neither of us will be able to open it. It turned out to be a very sentimental moment for both of us, especially when she threw her key and proved her desire to always be with me. The inspiration for this gift came to me all he way from the capital of Russia – Moscow. On one of its main streets there is a bridge called “The Bridge of Love,” where thousands of couples just like us expressed their eternal love for each other by leaving behind a special lock.

Besides celebrating, we also got to do some local sightseeing. The next several photos are from a beautiful lake in Seattle called the “Green Lake.” We went there early in the morning to feel the fresh cool air and catch the sunrise. The third set of pictures is from the Youth camp which Anastasia and I were a part. The camp was situated on a beautiful location right on the beach close to Portland, OR. In addition to various fun activities like archery and riding on wild rides, we also did a little photo shoot with the help pf my friend photographer Lilya Kozorezova. It may not look that way in the photos, but we were actually freezing throughout the entire time because the water was so cold ☺.

Finally, the pictures left are from another photo shoot of us done by my good friend Daniel Usenko. The shoot took place downtown Seattle. It was very informal, yet we had tons of fun and caught some great lighting. I hope that my photography will have a better way of telling you the whole story of our time together. Pictures deal with details and no matter how hard I would try to describe what I saw it wouldn’t compare to my own eyes accurately seeing it. I hope you enjoy my work and I would greatly appreciate any comments.
Thank you!
